Lean grilled mackerel with orange: an exquisite recipe
Yulia Stakhorska, a food writer, shared a recipe for a delicious lean dish - grilled mackerel with orange and parsley - exclusively with FoodOboz.
Tips from the cook:
- Orange can be replaced with tangerine.
- Mackerel can be prepared in the morning or in the evening, wrapped in foil with zest and parsley, and stored in the refrigerator before baking.
- Fish in foil can be cooked over an open fire for about 30-35 minutes.
Ingredients:
- frozen mackerel - 2 pcs
- orange - 1/2 pc
- parsley - 4 sprigs
How to cook:
1. Gut the semi-frozen fish well and peel. Also, remove the gills and eyes. Leave to defrost completely.
2. Wash and dry the finished fish with paper towels.
3. Put each fish on foil pieces 2.5 times the length of the fish individually.
4. Zest the orange and sprinkle it over the mackerel on both sides.
5. Put 2 sprigs of parsley and 1-2 slices of peeled orange in the belly.
6. Cover the fish with foil, squeezing the edges so that the fish does not lose moisture during baking.
7. Bake at 180-200 C for 40 minutes, depending on the size of the fish.
You can serve the dish both hot and cold.
