Preparing dessert for tea
When you want something delicious and homemade for tea, but do not have time to spend a long time fiddling with the dough, you should prepare simple sweet tubes with cottage cheese cream. Instead of the usual dough, you can use pita bread, so this dessert doesn't have to be baked. The dish is ideal for evening fall gatherings with delicious warming drinks.
The idea of a simple yet original dessert was shared by food blogger natashakinko on her Instagram page. The delicate creamy flavor of the dish is given by cottage cheese cream, which is very easy to prepare.
For 23 pieces (750 g):
- eggs – 1 pc
- sugar – 70 g
- vanilla sugar – 1 tbsp
- flour – 1 tbsp with a slide
- milk – 150 ml
- butter – 40 g
- cheese – 200 g
- pita
Method of preparation:
- In a saucepan place an egg, add regular and vanilla sugar, and flour.
- Mix everything thoroughly.
- Pour in the milk and stir once again.
- Bring the mixture to a boil.
- Remove from heat and immediately add butter, making the mass homogeneous.
- Cover tightly to the contact with a regular bag and leave at room temperature.
- Cut the pita into small rectangles.
- Stir in the cream and place in a bowl.
- Add the cheese and stir to combine.
- Spread the cream on each rectangle and twist it into tubes.
- Pour oil into a frying pan and fry on medium heat on both sides until golden.
