Lazy stuffed cabbage with stewed cabbage in the oven: share an original recipe
Homemade stuffed cabbage is a dish that every Ukrainian loves and knows how to cook. In the classic version, they are prepared with rice, minced meat and spicy tomato sauce. They can also be cooked without cabbage, without rice and even without meat.
Cook Yuliia shared on Instagram a recipe for delicious lazy stuffed cabbage, which are cooked with braised cabbage.
Ingredients:
- Meat for minced meat - 800 g
- Cabbage - 1 pcs.
- Carrots - 1 pc.
- Onion - 1 pc.
- Tomato paste - 4 tbsp. l.
- Rice - 150 g
- Pepper, salt, paprika - to taste
- Pepper - 1 pc.
Method of preparation:
1. Chop cabbage and onion, sauté until soft.
2. Boil the rice until half-cooked.
3. Put the minced meat through a meat grinder, add stewed cabbage, rice and spices to taste, mix well.
4. Chop the peppers and fry until half cooked. Add water and tomato paste, pour over the peppers, bring to the boil and turn off. Add some herbs.
5. Using your hands, form "cutlets" from the minced meat and place in a baking dish, pour the sauce over the top, cover with foil or a lid and cook for 30-35 minutes at 180°C.
Ready stuffed cabbage is best served hot, with herbs and sour cream!
