Lazy pita pie in 5 minutes: for snack, lunch and dinner

It's no secret that pita bread is an indispensable product in the kitchen, and you can make almost anything from it: rolls, appetizers, cakes, casseroles, or chebureks. If you don't have much time to prepare breakfast, a snack, or just something for a light lunch or dinner, a lazy cheese pie will come in handy. It is made in layers, with a milk and egg soak and a filling based on hard and cottage cheese.

Food blogger Alina Fudy shared a recipe for a lazy pita pie with cheese filling on her YouTube channel, which can be prepared in just a few minutes (to watch the video, scroll to the end).

Ingredients:

  • mozzarella - 150 g
  • cheese - 200 g
  • pepper, salt - to taste
  • lavash - 2 pieces (200 g)
  • egg - 4 pcs.
  • milk - 200 g
  • butter - 30 g

Method of preparation:

1. Grate the cheese on a grater.

2. Mix the egg and milk, and add pepper and salt.

3. Grease a baking dish with butter.

4. Cut the pita bread into 4 rectangles. Dip the pita bread in egg and milk, and put it in a baking dish.

5. Put some of the hard and cottage cheese. Cover with a second sheet of pita bread dipped in egg and put the filling. Form the pie in this way.

6. Pour the remaining egg mixture over the pie. Sprinkle with cheese.

7. Bake for 20-25 minutes at 180 degrees.
