Few people would turn down meaty, juicy, and hot dumplings. However, it takes a lot of time and skill to prepare such a dish. Therefore, for those who are looking for a simpler, but no less tasty option, this idea is perfect.
The idea of making delicious lazy pita bread dumplings was published on the Instagram page of blogger Julia (juli_co.ok).
Ingredients:
- minced meat - 500 g
- onions - 3 pcs.
- garlic - 2-3 cloves
- thin pita bread for roll - 1 pc.
- processed cheese - 3 tbsp.
- greens - to taste
- salt and black pepper - to taste
Method of preparation:
1. Fry the onion (2 pieces) until golden brown in vegetable oil.
2. Add chopped onion and garlic to the minced meat (you can choose pork + beef).
3. Add chopped herbs, salt and pepper to taste.
4. Spread a thin layer of melted cheese on the pita bread and spread the minced meat evenly, wrap it in a roll and cut it into equal pieces 1.5-2 cm thick.
5. Put the sliced pieces tightly on the fried onions, add a little water, about 100-150 ml, cover, and simmer over low heat for 15 minutes! This is if your rolls are small, and if they are large up to 30 minutes.
6. Serve with sour cream or mayonnaise.
