Lazy dumplings: how to make them so that they don't stick together
Lazy dumplings, or cottage cheese dumplings as they are also called, are one of the most favorite childhood breakfasts. They are quite simple to prepare and do not require any special skills.
A food blogger with the nickname eatme daily shared on Instagram how her grandmother used to make lazy dumplings. If you cook a dish according to this recipe, the dumplings will never fall apart or stick together.
Ingredients:
- Cottage cheese from 9% - 500 gr
- Eggs - 2 pcs
- Sugar - 4 tbsp
- Flour - 200 g
- Salt - a pinch
Method of preparation:
1. In a deep bowl, beat the cottage cheese, sugar, eggs, and salt with a blender or grind with a fork.
2. If the cottage cheese is not fatty, you can add 3 tbsp of melted butter.
3. Add flour and knead the sticky dough.
4. Divide the dough visually into 4 parts, pinch off the first one, put it on a floured work surface, and form a "sausage". Cut into small pieces.
5. Pour enough water into a saucepan, add salt, and bring to a boil.
6. Put the dumplings in, and mix gently. After they float to the surface, cook for 2-3 minutes.
7. Serve with butter, sour cream, and seasonal berries.
