Lazy cabbage rolls without rice and with an unusual sauce: Olha Matvii shares her cooking secrets
Stuffed cabbage is a delicious and satisfying dish based on minced meat, rice, spices, and cabbage. But very often they are also cooked with mushrooms, without cabbage, without meat, and lazy.
On her YouTube channel, cook Olha Matvii shared a recipe for delicious lazy cabbage rolls with chicken and no cabbage, which you can prepare in just 30 minutes.
Ingredients:
- Cabbage – 400 g
- Chicken fillet – 400 g
- Carrots – 1 pc.
- Onion – 1 pc.
- Hercules oatmeal – 100 g
- Egg – 1 pc.
- Salt, pepper – to taste
Filling:
- Ketchup or adjika – 100 g
- Sour cream – 100 g
- Water – 100 ml
- Dill – a bunch
Method of preparation:
1. Cut the cabbage into several pieces, cover it with boiling water, and let stand.
2. Then put it in a blender and whisk.
3. Dice the onion.
4. Grate the carrots on a fine grater.
5. Cut the fillet into cubes, add cabbage, onions, oatmeal, and eggs, mix, and season with salt and pepper.
6. Filling: mix ketchup, water, sour cream, and chopped dill.
7. Using your hands or a spoon, put the minced meat in a frying pan, fry it, and transfer it to a baking sheet or baking dish.
8. Pour the sauce over the cabbage rolls, cover the dish with foil, and place in the oven for 20-25 minutes at 180°C.
Sprinkle the finished cabbage rolls with chopped herbs.
