Lard is a product that almost every Ukrainian loves. Experts recommend eating it for everyone, even every day, but in small quantities. It can be used to make delicious spreads, sandwiches, and baked deliciously with spices.

Nutritionist Oksana Skytalinska told on Instagram why lard is healthier for Ukrainians than olive oil.

"Lard and sour cream are an ideal alternative to olive oil, as lard is balanced in terms of fat composition and has the necessary amount of arachidonic acid, which is an important component of cell membranes," the expert explained.

This also applies to sea fish, which is non-traditional for Ukrainians if compared to egg yolks and lard. The latter two products will be healthier for Ukrainians.

The expert recommends eating more vegetables, but also those that grow in Ukraine, as they will be the most useful for Ukrainians. These can be: beets, which will be better than the popular avocado, and fresh parsley instead of spirulina.

Berries can be viburnum, raspberries, currants.
