Klopotenko tells how to make an unusual cupcake with a secret ingredient

With lemon, chocolate, or cherry – these are the fillings that housewives most often bake cupcakes with. What about salty ones: with poppy seeds and cucumbers? And if at this point someone wanted to turn the page, they shouldn't. After all, if you make such a cupcake once, you run the risk of making it all the time.

Chef Yevhen Klopotenko shared a recipe for an unusual salty cupcake on his YouTube channel (to watch the video, scroll to the end).

To make a poppy seed cake with pickles, you will need the following ingredients:

  • Flour - 200 g
  • Baking powder - 1.5 tsp
  • Butter - 200 g
  • Eggs - 3 pcs.
  • Pickles - 3-4 pcs.
  • Honey - 3 tbsp
  • Poppy seeds - 2 tbsp.

Method of preparation:

  1. Melt the butter.
  2. Mix the butter with honey. Add one egg at a time, whisking constantly. Stir until smooth.
  3. Add flour, baking powder, and poppy seeds. Add a pinch of salt and mix.
  4. Cut the cucumbers and add them to the dough.
  5. Put the dough into the mold and bake in the bread machine for about 1 hour.
