Juicy pita bread triangles in a pan: what to wrap in the filling
For breakfast, a snack, tea, or coffee – these pita bread envelopes are the perfect option. They can be made with a variety of fillings: minced meat, sausage, mushrooms, or chicken. They are very juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside.
Food blogger Viktoriia Didus shared a recipe for juicy pita bread envelopes with mushrooms and cheese on her Instagram page.
Ingredients:
- pita bread – 2 pcs
- egg – 1 pc
Filling:
- hard cheese
- ham
- tomato
- mushrooms
- onion
- sour cream/mayonnaise
- salt, spices
- mustard in grains
Method of preparation:
1. Chop the mushrooms and fry them.
2. Add chopped onion rings to the mushrooms. Fry until tender.
3. Chop the tomato and ham, grate the cheese.
4. Mix all the necessary ingredients for the filling.
5. Cut the pita bread into three pieces. Put the filling and form triangles.
6. Dip the triangles in beaten egg and fry.
