Juicy chicken without baking: this secret ingredient makes all the difference
To make the chicken juicy and tasty, you can bake it or stuff it with cereals, fruit, or many other ingredients. But this method takes quite a bit of time. Perfect tender meat with a crust can be cooked even in a frying pan using one special ingredient.
The idea was published on monika_pp_'s Instagram page. According to this recipe, the chicken is stewed in caramelized onions with baking soda. The meat is very tender, juicy and crusty.
Jewish-style chicken without baking:
- chicken - 1 kg
- onion - 400 g
- vegetable oil - 50 ml
- baking soda - 0.5 tsp
- salt - 1.5 tsp
- black pepper - 0.5 tsp
Method of preparation:
1. Chop the onions.
2. Put in a preheated frying pan with vegetable oil.
3. Fry until golden, then add salt and cook until caramelized.
4. Put the chicken drumsticks on top.
5. Add salt and pepper.
6. Simmer under the lid for 20 minutes.
7. Turn over and sprinkle with spices on the other side.
8. Cook for another 20 minutes.
9. Put on a plate and pour onion sauce from the pan on top.
