Jelly jam from any berries: how to cook with and without water

No one will be surprised by ordinary berry jam, and for experienced housewives, its preparation has already become a routine. But it's not impossible to make this winter preserve more unusual and even tastier.

For example, you can make a jelly swirl instead of traditional jam. The recipe for this delicacy was shared on the Filizhanka Kava portal. This variant of jam making is suitable for any berries. In this case, we used black currants.

Currants with sugar.

Ingredients:

  • currants - 12 cups;
  • sugar - 9 cups;
  • water - 2 cups.

Method of preparation:

1. Put the berries on the fire, add water, and cook for 15 minutes over low heat from the moment of boiling.

2. Add sugar, mix well, and cook for another 15 minutes over low heat.

3. Put the jam into sterilized jars and tighten the lids.

How to make currant jam.

The same thick and tasty jam can be made without adding water:

1. To do this, cover the berries with sugar, mix and leave for 12 hours.

2. Then cook over low heat for 20 minutes after boiling.

3. Next, you need to cool the mass, grind it through a sieve, put it on fire, and boil it for another 10 minutes.
