The FoodOboz editorial team shares an amazing Italian breakfast recipe – an omelet in pita bread with cheese, herbs, and tomatoes, which is prepared very quickly – about 10 minutes, but will be very tasty and satisfying.
Ingredients:
- round pita bread - 1 pc.
- eggs - 2 pcs.
- tomato - 1 pc.
- mozzarella - 130 g
- oil - 2 tbsp
- basil - 1 sprig
- salt - to taste
Method of preparation:
- Beat the eggs well with salt, pour into a preheated frying pan with oil, and cover with pita bread, press well, and fry for about 2 minutes over low heat.
- Then turn over and put the tomato, mozzarella, and basil, sliced in half rings on one part of the omelet and cover with the second part of the omelet, pressing well with a spatula.
- Be sure to cover and fry for another 1-2 minutes.
Serve the finished dish hot, you can add sour cream to taste.
