Beef often turns out tough, dry and not as tasty as we would like when cooked. Culinary experts advise cooking it in a marinade, adding lemon juice, wine, tomato juice, which will soften the meat fibers.
The cook shared a recipe on Instagram for delicious, soft, juicy beef with wine sauce, spices, and garlic.
Ingredients:
- Beef - 1 kg.
- Onion - 1 pc.
- Garlic - a whole head
- Celery, carrots, leeks - for a rich vegetable flavor
- Rosemary, allspice, bay leaf
- Tomato paste - 100 ml
- Water
- Red wine - 100 ml or 4 tbsp of balsamic vinegar (if you want a lighter flavor, try balsamic sauce - 2 tbsp)
- Salt and pepper - to taste
Method of preparation:
1. Put a whole piece of beef in a baking dish. Add the vegetables and spices.
2. Filling: in a bowl, mix the tomato paste with water to make enough liquid to cover the meat in the mold. Now add salt - make the filling as salty as you like.
3. Next, pour the beef with the filling and wine or balsamic vinegar/sauce to give the dish a slight sourness.
4. Wrap the mold in several layers of foil (at least 2 layers - this is important!). Cook in the oven at 150 C for 6-7 hours. The longer it takes, the more tender the meat will be.
