Instead of porridge: healthy oatmeal pancakes for breakfast in 10 minutes
Oatmeal is an ideal product for preparing healthy and satisfying dishes not only for breakfast, including not only porridge. It can be used to make pancakes, pies, bread, and batter for cutlets, fish, and chops.
Chef Yevhen Klopotenko shared a recipe for delicious oatmeal and banana pancakes on his YouTube channel, which always turn out well (to watch the video, scroll to the end).
Ingredients:
- oatmeal – 200 g
- milk – 200 ml
- banana – 1 pc
- egg – 1 pc
- sugar – 1 tbsp
- baking powder – 1 tsp
- flour – 2 tbsp
- sunflower oil for frying – 3-4 tbsp
- salt – a pinch
Method of preparation:
1. Pour the oatmeal with warm milk and leave for 20 minutes to swell.
2. Mash the banana with a fork, season with salt, and add to the oatmeal.
3. Crack the egg in and mix well.
4. Add the sugar, flour, and baking powder to the batter and mix thoroughly so that all the ingredients are evenly distributed in the oatmeal mixture.
5. Fry the pancakes in a frying pan with sunflower oil for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
6. Put the pancakes on a paper towel to drain off the excess fat.
