If you want to make a delicious pie very quickly, but don't have any flour, just use pita bread and poppy seed filling.

Ingredients:

  • pita bread – 2 pcs
  • poppy seeds – 150 g
  • sugar – 100 g
  • milk – 400 ml
  • sweet cheeses – 250-300 g
  • egg – 1 pc

Method of preparation:

1. Mix poppy seeds with sugar, pour in milk, and put on fire, bring to a boil.

2. Cook the mixture for about 40-60 minutes, until the milk is completely absorbed into the poppy seeds, be sure to stir constantly.

3. Separately, mix the poppy seed filling with the egg white and cheeses until smooth.

4. Unfold a sheet of pita bread and spread the prepared filling and roll it up, starting from the shorter side.

5. Brush the top of the roll with egg yolk, sprinkle with sesame seeds or poppy seeds, place on a baking sheet, and put in the oven for 15-25 minutes at 180°C.

This strudel can be made with various fillings, such as berries and cottage cheese.
