Incredible gratin: how to cook potatoes for a festive occasion
It's no secret that potatoes are a versatile product that can be prepared in any way: fried, boiled or baked. Dishes based on this vegetable will fit perfectly not only on the everyday table, but also on the festive one.
Potato gratin is exactly one of these dishes. It's not cooked that often, but for good reason. It requires a minimum of ingredients, time, and effort, and the dish looks so impressive and appetizing that it's hard to resist.

Ingredients:
- potatoes - 6-8 pcs.
- onion - 1 pc
- garlic - 2 cloves
- butter - 40 g
- flour - 3 tbsp
- milk - 500 ml
- cream 20% - 200 ml
- cumin
- salt, pepper
Method of preparation:
1. Cut the potatoes into thin slices. Put them in an accordion shape in a baking dish.
2. Dice the garlic and onion.
3. Fry the onion until soft, then add the garlic.
4. Add the butter.
5. Pour the flour and fry, stirring, 3 minutes.
6. Add milk gradually.
7. Add salt, pepper, cumin and cream. Bring to a boil.
8. Season the potatoes with salt. Pour the resulting sauce over the vegetable.
9. Sprinkle with cumin and grated cheese.
10. Bake at 180 degrees for 55 minutes.
