Homemade compotes for the winter can be made from any summer berries, the main thing is to prepare them properly beforehand. To prevent the jars from "exploding," they must first be washed well with soda and the lids poured with boiling water.
The cook shared on Instagram a recipe for a delicious bright strawberry compote for the winter.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup sugar or 200 g glass
- 0.5 tsp. citric acid
- 1/3 can of strawberries
Method of preparation:
1. Wash the berries, add sugar and citric acid to the bottom of the jars, and put the berries in.
2. Bring the water to a boil and pour over the berries.
3. Cover and preserve.
