If you're tired of pilaf: what rice dish to cook for a family dinner
Paella will be a great dish if you're tired of figuring out what to cook for lunch or dinner. It is also a good alternative to pilaf, which can be cooked differently every time.
Food blogger Olha Riabenko shared all the secrets of cooking paella on Instagram. She also showed what exactly should be done so that the dish does not turn out dry.
Ingredients
- Bomba or Camolino rice for paella – 400 g
- Water or broth – 1.6 liters
- Chicken or rabbit – 12 pieces
- Green beans – 150 g
- Garlic – 2 cloves
- Tomato sauce – 250 g
- Saffron – 2-3 flakes
- Paprika – 2 tsp
- Olive oil
- Salt
- Optional snails – 150 g
Method of preparation
1. Fry the meat in olive oil until golden brown.
2. Move in a circle from the center. Add the beans. Fry for 2 minutes.
3. Add garlic, paprika and tomato sauce.
4. Pour in water and add snails.
5. Saffron can be thrown dry or soaked in water beforehand.
6. Salt and bring to taste.
7. Pour the rice evenly and mix once. No more mixing until the end of cooking.
8. Cook for 17 minutes over moderate heat.
9. Then raise the heat to maximum and cook for another 10 minutes.
10. After that, cover the paella with foil, turn up the heat to moderate, and cook for another 10 minutes.
11. After turning off, let stand for 5 minutes under the foil.
