Ingredients

  • glutinous rice flour - 100 gr
  • powdered sugar - 50 gr
  • corn starch - 15 g
  • oil - 1 tbsp
  • water - 170 ml
  • coloring - optional

Ingredients for the filling

  • ice cream - 500 g

Method of preparation

1. Pour glutinous rice flour, powdered sugar and cornstarch into a bowl. Add coloring, water and vegetable oil. Mix everything thoroughly to avoid lumps.

2. Pour the dough into a preheated frying pan and cook over low to medium heat, stirring constantly and gathering the dough together.

3. When the dough becomes homogeneous, without light drops, translucent and elastic, cook for a few more minutes. Do not forget to constantly knead the dough with a spatula.

6. When the dough has cooled and the filling is frozen, sprinkle the surface with cornstarch and roll out the dough into a layer about 3 millimeters thick.

Recommendations

7. Cut out circles, place a scoop of ice cream on each and gather the edges on all sides.

8. Seal well and cut off the excess dough with scissors. Form the mochi and dust with cornstarch.
