Banosh is a colorful Ukrainian dish based on corn grits, sour cream, and milk. Bacon and fried mushrooms add a bright flavor to the dish.
The cook shared on Instagram a recipe for a delicious and satisfying corn grits banosh with fried bacon and cheese.
Ingredients:
- corn grits - 150 g
- fat sour cream - 200 ml
- milk - 300 ml
- mushrooms - 150 g
- lard / brisket - 150 g
- cheese - 150 g
- onion - 1-2 pcs.
- salt - to taste
Method of preparation:
1. Fry the bacon/breast. Remove the bacon and fry the mushrooms and onions.
2. Put the sour cream and milk in a saucepan, stir, and season with salt. Put on a small fire to boil and add the washed corn grits, cook until the grits are tender and thick – 15-25 minutes.
3. Put in a bowl, top with mushrooms, and bacon, and sprinkle with cheese.
