You must admit that it often happens that you buy a lot of bread and don't have time to eat it in time. And then you throw it away because you can't eat it, and you don't know where else to use it. Fortunately, in the modern world, there are methods to help with this.

The FoodOboz editorial team will tell you how to extend the life of bread, based on the advice of expert Anna Makievska.

She shared an unusual life hack for the Tomatoes and Salt YouTube channel (to watch the video, scroll to the end).

According to the expert, bread such as ciabatta or baguette should not be stored for a long time. They should be eaten during the day, and best of all, at breakfast.

Ciabatta and baguette should be eaten immediately after purchase

As for long-fermented bakery products, especially those based on whole wheat flour, they can "live" for several days in the bag you brought from the store or in a bag on the kitchen surface.

To extend the shelf life of bread for a month, there is a cool life hack. And the freezer will help with this. You can put both whole and sliced bread in it. Be sure to wrap the loaf in cling film so that it doesn't absorb unnecessary odors and air. You can store bread in this way: whole, cut in half, or cut into pieces.

It should be defrosted only at room temperature.

The expert does not recommend storing bread in the refrigerator. She says that the temperature there is ideal for staling bakery products. And they spoil right before your eyes.
