How to serve oatmeal for breakfast in an unusual way

If you freeze coconut milk with Granny Smith green apples (a late-winter variety popular in Australia, the United States, and Western European countries), oatmeal, and coconut and almond flakes, you can get an unbeatable alternative breakfast option for the whole summer, and a nutritious dessert at the same time.

Food blogger Inna Levenets shared a great idea for an original dish on her Instagram page. According to her advice, in the process, apple oatmeal should be prepared separately, and only then should you "assemble" the main dish.

Ingredients:

  • 1 Granny Smith apple (any green apple can be used if this variety is not available)
  • 1 tbsp. of lemon juice
  • 250 ml of coconut milk
  • 2 tbsp. of maple syrup/honey

For apple oatmeal:

  • 2 tbsp. instant oatmeal
  • 2 tbsp. of applesauce
  • 1 tbsp. of coconut flakes
  • 125 ml of coconut milk
  • 2 tbsp. of almond flakes
  • 2 tbsp. of maple syrup.
How to serve oatmeal for breakfast in an unusual way.

Method of preparation:

1. Cut the apple into thin slices and pour lemon juice over.

2. Mix coconut milk with syrup.

3. Put the apple slices in ice cream molds and fill 3/4 with milk and syrup. Put in the freezer for an hour.

4. Next, prepare the oatmeal: mix all the ingredients specified for it and put in the refrigerator for half an hour.

5. When the milk is well frozen in the mold, put a layer of apple oatmeal on it. Put in the freezer until the ice cream is completely frozen.
