How to save overcooked meat that turned rubbery: simple tips

If you overcooked the meat, it becomes very rubbery and hard to chew. However, this doesn't mean that the product is already spoiled and shouldn't be eaten. Moreover, it is worth considering that it is also expensive. Therefore, you need to make sure that the dish can still be served.

If the meat is still overcooked, cut it into small pieces, put it in a bowl, and cover it with onions. Put the tomatoes on top, drizzle with oil, and sprinkle with lemon juice and salt. The meat will become juicy and tender.

Olha.holovina shared a perfect recipe on her Instagram page. According to it, the meat will definitely turn out delicious and cook evenly.

Baked meat for sandwiches

Ingredients:

  • pork ham - 1.5 kg
  • olive oil - 4 tbsp
  • dry red wine - 80 ml
  • spice mix - 3 tbsp
  • salt - 2 tsp

Method of preparation:

  1. Wash the meat and wipe it with a dry napkin.
  2. Cut into random pieces.
  3. Mix oil, wine and spices.
  4. Lubricate the meat with this mixture.
  5. Tighten with a special net and leave to marinate in the refrigerator for 20-24 hours.
  6. Put in a baking dish and bake  under a lid at 250 degrees for 15 minutes.
  7. Turn the meat over and cook for another 15 minutes.
  8. Reduce the temperature to 200 degrees and continue baking for 30 minutes on each side.
  9. Then remove the lid and cook for another 15 minutes on both sides to form a crust.
