How to salt mackerel deliciously at home: you can eat it in a day
Most often, mackerel is baked in the oven with vegetables or cutlets are made from this fish. But it is also delicious salted. The product has a lot of meat and few bones, so it will be very convenient to eat.

Ingredients:
- mackerel - 2 pcs.
- onion - 1 pc.
Ingredients for the marinade:
- cold water - 1 liter
- salt - 3 cups
- sugar - 1 tsp
- mustard - 1 tsp.
Method of preparation:
1. Defrost the mackerel, clean it well.
2. Rinse under running water.
3. Cut into medium slices.
4. Put in a container.
5. Chop the onion.
6. For the marinade, add 3 tablespoons of salt, a teaspoon of sugar and one teaspoon of mustard powder to cold water.
7. Split and pour so that the brine completely covers the fish.
8. It turns out to be moderately salty if the salt is rocky. If it is fine, two tablespoons will be enough.
9. Put in the refrigerator for a day.
