Ingredients:
- Mackerel - 500-600 g
- Salt - 1 tbsp.
- Sugar - 0.5 tbsp
- Water - 200 ml
- Cloves - 2-3 pcs
- Coriander - 0.5 tsp
- Bay leaves - 1 pc
- Allspice - 3 pcs
- Black peppercorns - 6-7 pcs
- Vegetable oil - 1 tbsp
- Vinegar - 1 tsp.
Method of preparation:
1. Pour water into a saucepan. Add cloves, bay leaves, pepper, coriander, salt and sugar. Bring to a boil, let it cook for 5 minutes, and then cool the brine to room temperature.
2. Peel the mackerel and cut into portions. Put them in a bowl.
3. Pour the marinade and leave for 6-7 hours at room temperature or 8-10 hours in the refrigerator.
4. Serve the fish with onions.

- Water - 2 liters
- Salt - 3 tbsp.
- Sugar - 1 tsp.
- Dry mustard - 1 tsp
- Bay leaves - 3 pcs
- Onion - 2 pieces
Method of preparation:
1. Peel, wash, and cut the mackerel into portions.
2. Pour water into a saucepan. Add salt, sugar, garlic and bay leaves. Bring to a boil and cool the brine to room temperature.
3. Cut the onion into strips.
4. Put the mackerel in a jar or any other container, pour the marinade, and sprinkle with onions. Cover and refrigerate for at least one day.
