How to salt lard in a slow cooker: a successful marinade
Salting lard is always a rather lengthy process. The traditional method requires several days to make the product really tasty and well-cooked. However, there is a method that allows you to eat the dish immediately after heat treatment. All you need is a slow cooker.

Ingredients:
- lard with layers – 1 kg
- salt – 200 g
- sugar – 2 tbsp
- water – 1 liter
- bay leaf – 4-5 pcs.
- peppercorns – 10 pcs.
- garlic
- hot red pepper
- onion peel – 2 handfuls
Method of preparation:
1. Rinse the onion peel thoroughly, put it in a single layer in the multicooker bowl, put the lard, bay leaf, peppercorns, then the remaining onion peel on top. Cut the bacon into cubes about 5x15 cm.
2. Prepare the marinade: add salt and sugar to boiling water. Boil until completely dissolved. Pour it over the lard.
3. Set the slow cooker to the stewing mode for 1 hour.
4. Leave the lard in the slow cooker for 8-10 hours.
5. Remove, dry, rub with garlic, roll in red pepper.
