How to salt herring deliciously without marinade: a budget recipe
Herring is an ideal fish for pickling. You only need a few aromatic spices to bring out its flavor and aroma. Ideally, herring is lightly salted and spicy. By the way, there is no need to prepare a marinade.

Ingredients:
- freshly frozen herring - 1 pc.
- salt - 1 tbsp
- sugar - 1 tsp
- ground coriander - 1 tsp.
Method of preparation:
1. Defrost the whole herring, wash and dry it. Do not remove the head and insides.
2. Mix salt, sugar and coriander.
3. Rub the spice mixture well on all sides of the herring. Put it in a food bag, tie it and put it in another bag.
4. Put the fish in the refrigerator for 3 days. Every day you will need to take it out of the fridge 2 times a day and wipe it so that the herring is well salted.
5. After 3 days, take the fish out of the refrigerator, rinse, dry, clean the insides, fins and head.
6. You can serve the salted herring by cutting it into portions. If desired, add more onions and drizzle with oil.
