1. How to reheat rice in the microwave

Microwaving is the fastest way to heat rice, but you have to know how to do it right.

"First, put the cooked rice in a bowl and add one tablespoon of water or an ice cube, which will provide moisture that re-steams the rice. Next, gently mash the rice with a fork to remove any lumps. Cover with a clean, damp kitchen towel and heat for 1 minute. Then remove the towel and put the rice back in for another 1-2 minutes," Johnny advises.

2. How to reheat rice on the stove

If you want to reheat the rice on the stove instead of microwave, add 1-2 tablespoons of butter or oil to the pan and then rice.

"Then add 1 to 2 tbsp of water to the pot. Use a fork to stir and break up the lumps in the rice, put the pot on the stove, cover, and cook the rice for 3-4 minutes, removing the lid from time to time to stir it," the expert advises.

3. How to reheat rice in the oven

If you're reheating a large amount of rice, doing it in the oven is the perfect choice. "Preheat the oven to 200 C, spread the cooked rice on a baking sheet in an even layer, and stir it to avoid lumps. Then sprinkle the rice with water. Cover with foil and bake for 15-20 minutes," recommends Johnny Tanga.
