Mackerel can be deliciously baked, fried, and marinated. To make the marinated fish spicy and juicy, you need to use a good marinade and add onions to the mackerel. You can eat this pickled mackerel in 3 hours.

Ingredients:

  • mackerel - 1 pc.
  • vegetable oil - 1 tbsp.
  • vinegar - 1 tbsp
  • ground coriander
  • allspice peppercorns - 3 pcs.
  • black peppercorns - 3 pcs.
  • cloves - 2 pcs.
  • bay leaf - 1 pc.
  • garlic - 2 cloves
  • onion - 1 pc.
  • salt

Method of preparation:

1. Peel, wash, and cut the mackerel into portions.

2. Roll each piece of fish in salt on both sides and put it in a container with water. There should not be much water – at the bottom of the vessel. Leave the fish for an hour.

3. After an hour, turn the fish to the other side.

4. For the marinade, mix the garlic, spices, oil and vinegar, cut into rings.

5. Cut the onion into half rings.

6. Put the fish in a container in layers: fish, marinade, onion. Leave in the refrigerator for an hour.
