How to quickly make chicken aspic: the easiest recipe
Chicken aspic is much easier to prepare than pork or any other meat one. This is because the poultry is cooked much faster. Thus, cooking such a dish does not take much time. And as a result, it turns out to be extremely satisfying, nutritious and can be stored in the refrigerator for a long time. You can eat the dish on its own or with bread, pasta or cereal.
Food blogger Tetiana (tetianka_ilina) shared the recipe for chicken aspic on her Instagram page.
Ingredients:
- chicken meat - 1 fillet, 1 thigh and 2 quarters
- water - it should be 7-10 cm higher in the pot than the meat
- onion - 1 pc.
- carrots - 1 pc.
- garlic - 2 cloves
- salt
- peppercorns - 5-10 pcs.
- bay leaf - 2 pcs.
- gelatin - 1-1.5 tbsp.
- cold boiled water - 1/2 cup
Method of preparation:
1. Wash the meat, put it in a saucepan, cover with water and turn on medium heat. Bring to a boil, remove the foam and reduce the heat.
2. Add salt, pepper, whole onions, chopped carrots, bay leaves, and garlic. Cover and cook for 2 hours.
3. Remove the meat and strain the broth into a separate bowl.
4. Pour gelatin into a glass, cover with water and leave to swell.
5. Meanwhile, disassemble the meat into pieces. Put it on a plate.
6. Add the swollen gelatin to the broth and stir. Pour the resulting liquid over the meat.
7. Put the aspic in the refrigerator until it thickens.
