Solyanka is a delicious, rich and very popular soup. According to the classic recipe, the first course is prepared from several types of meat, with various fresh and pickled vegetables, herbs and sauces. If you have a minimal set of products in your refrigerator, it's not a problem either, because there are simpler recipes that can be used for everything.

Ingredients:

  • meat
  • pickled cucumbers
  • tomato paste or ketchup
  • onion
  • carrots
  • olives
  • lemon
  • potatoes

Method of preparation:

1. Pour water into a saucepan, add bay leaves and black pepper. Add potatoes if desired. Bring to a boil.

2. Grate the carrots and chop the onion. Fry in a pan.

3. Dice the cucumbers and add to the vegetables.

4. Add ketchup or paste. Fry for a few minutes.

7. Salt at the end of cooking.
