Ingredients:
- mackerel - 2 pcs.
- onion - 1 pc.
- cloves - 5-8 pcs.
- black allspice - 10-15 pcs.
- bay leaves - 5 pcs.
Ingredients for the brine:
- water - 500 ml
- salt - 2.5 tbsp
- sugar - 1.5 tbsp
- oil - 2-3 tbsp.
Method of preparation:
1. Wash the mackerel, clean it well, remove the excess, and cut the fish into pieces.
2. Peel the onion and cut it into rings or half rings.
3. Place in a jar in layers with onions, and sprinkle with cloves, peppercorns, and bay leaves.
4. Bring water to a boil, add salt, sugar, and oil.
5. Cool and pour the brine over the fish.
6. Cover and refrigerate. You can eat it in a day.
