How to preserve dill for winter without freezing: turns out useful and delicious
Greens like dill are usually frozen for the winter. When frozen properly, it retains its flavor and health benefits. In addition, there is another interesting idea - dill can be prepared as a sauce. It is stored very well in the refrigerator, and can be added to first and second courses, salads, and simply as spread on bread.
Food blogger Victoria vica.chaikovskaya shared a recipe for dill sauce that can be stored in the refrigerator for a long time on her Instagram page.
Ingredients:
- dill - 200 g
- garlic - 10 cloves
- zest of 1 lemon
- juice of 1/2 lemon
- vegetable oil - 100 ml
- salt
Method of preparation:
1. Chop the dill.
2. Cut the garlic into rings.
3. Zest the lemon.
4. Mix the dill, garlic, zest, lemon juice, olive oil and salt. Beat with a blender until smooth.
5. Put the resulting sauce in a jar and store in the refrigerator.
