How to prepare rice deliciously if you are tired of the usual porridge
Rice is considered one of the most versatile cereals. With a minimum of simple and affordable products and a little bit of free time, you can turn an ordinary cereal into an unusually delicious side dish. The dish will perfectly complement lunch or dinner. It's easy, satisfying, and no less healthy than pilaf.
The recipe for a delicious side dish of rice and meat was shared by food blogger Yana (ohmyborsh). It was posted on Instagram.
Ingredients:
For rice:
- rice - 140 g
- sweet potato - 1 pc
- arugula - 70 g
- cashews - 70 g
- oil
- salt
For the meat:
- minced meat - 500 g
- tomatoes in their own juice - 350 g
- pickled cucumbers - 100 g
- Dijon mustard - 35 g
- oil
- salt, pepper
Method of preparation:
1. Cut the sweet potato into cubes and drizzle with oil and salt. Bake at 180 degrees for 10-50 minutes until soft and golden brown.
2. Boil the rice in salted water until al dente.
3. Chop the arugula and nuts.
4. Mix the rice, nuts, arugula and sweet potato. Season with salt and drizzle with oil.
5. Fry the minced meat in vegetable oil until golden brown. Season with salt.
6. Add chopped cucumbers, tomatoes and mustard. Simmer over low heat for about 30 minutes.
7. Serve.
