How to prepare milk cookies at home

Milk cookies is a taste from childhood. They will be delicious with compote, cocoa or milk. At home, such cookies are prepared very simply and will surprise your whole family.

Ingredients for 12 pcs:

  • eggs - 1 pc
  • butter - 100 g
  • milk - 80 ml
  • sugar - 160 g
  • leavening agent - 6 g
  • vanilla paste (or vanillin, vinilla extract, or vanilla sugar) - 1 tsp.
  • flour - 400 g
  • salt - a pinch
  • milk - 1 tsp.

Method of preparation:

1. Pour milk into a saucepan and add sugar and a pinch of salt. Put on the fire and heat until the sugar is dissolved, but do not boil. Remove from the heat and let cool slightly.

2. Beat the egg with a fork. Pour almost all of the egg mixture into the soft butter, leaving 2 tsp.

3. Add cooled milk syrup and vanilla paste and stir with a whisk.

4. Mix flour with baking powder. Add 1/3 of the flour and stir. Add 1/2 of the flour and stir with a whisk. Add the last part of the flour and stir with a spatula.

5. You will get thick, sticky dough. Cover with clingfilm.

6. Put in the refrigerator for 30-60 minutes.

7. Roll out the chilled dough 6-7 mm thick. Cut out a circle with a diameter of 9-10 centimeters.

8. Place on parchment or Teflon mat.

9. Add a teaspoon of milk to the remaining egg. Brush the pieces with this mixture.

10. Bake at 200 degrees for 10-12 minutes until golden.
