How to prepare liver without bitterness and odor: an interesting recipe

Liver is a very healthy and tasty product that is used to make spicy pates and chops, as well as added to salads and soups. It will also be delicious to try cooking liver with vegetables, cream, mushrooms, spices, and onions.

Food expert Svitlana shared a recipe for a delicious, spicy liver with lard that will surprise you on Instagram.

Cook's tip: soak the liver in milk for several hours to remove bitterness and unpleasant odor.

Ingredients:

  • beef liver - 1 kg
  • lard - 50 g
  • onion - 2 pcs.
  • celery - 2 pcs.
  • milk - 1 liter
  • parsley - a bunch
  • oil - 30 g
  • flour - 1 tbsp.
  • sour cream - 2-3 tbsp
  • salt, pepper - to taste

Method of preparation:

1. Peel the liver, put it in a bowl and cover with milk for several hours.

2. Cut the vegetables into large pieces, put them in a frying pan with butter, fry them, then add the chopped liver and lard, and simmer over low heat for 15 minutes.

3. Then add salt, pepper, flour and sour cream. Stir and simmer under the lid for another 20 minutes.

Serve the liver with the sauce, it will be very tasty and satisfying!
