How to pickle tomatoes deliciously: a quick recipe
The tomato season is now well underway. The vegetable can be found in stores and markets. Young, fresh tomatoes are most often used to make a delicious fresh salad. But they can also be deliciously pickled, making a spicy appetizer on their own.
The idea of making pickled tomatoes was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Mariia (food_mamochka).
Ingredients:
- tomatoes – 3 pcs
- onions – 1 pc
- garlic – 2-3 cloves
Ingredients for the dressing:
- unrefined oil – 4 tbsp
- salt – 0.5 tsp
- honey – 1 tbsp
- lemon juice – 2 tbsp
- paprika
- Italian seasonings
Method of preparation:
1. Cut the onion and tomatoes into rings, and chop the garlic.
2. Mix all the ingredients for the dressing.
3. Layer the tomatoes, onions, and garlic, pour over the dressing.
4. Shake well.
5. Leave the tomatoes to marinate in the refrigerator for at least 8 hours.
