How to pickle sprats in spices deliciously at home

Pickling sprats at home is extremely easy. All you need is a few commonplace spices: salt, sugar, and pepper, which should be used to make a marinade. Let the fish to pickle well well before eating. You can eat it on its own or with cereals or mashed potatoes.

Food blogger Maria (mashka_salei) shared a recipe for pickled sprats, which can be easily prepared at home, on her Instagram page.

Ingredients:

  • sprats - 500 g
  • water - 500 ml
  • sugar - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1.5-2 tbsp
  • allspice
  • peppercorns

The method of preparation:

1. Dissolve sugar and salt in water.

2. Add pepper and stir.

3. Put the fish in a container or deep bowl. Pour the marinade over.

4. Leave the fish in the refrigerator for 48 hours.
