How to pickle lemons deliciously: an idea for an unusual Moroccan appetizer
Lemon is a citrus fruit that is relevant at any time of the year. It is used to make a variety of hot and cold drinks, salad dressings, and marinades, and to complement the taste of many dishes. Also, this product can be used as a savory appetizer on its own.
The idea of making pickled lemons was published on the website of the American online culinary publication SILK ROAD RECIPES
Ingredients:
- large lemons – 6 pcs
- lemons for juice – 4 pcs
- ground fennel seeds – 1 tsp
- ground coriander – 1 tsp
- black pepper – 1/2 tsp
- ground cinnamon – 1/2 tsp
- sea salt – 200 g
Method of preparation:
1. Mix sea salt and spices.
2. Rinse and dry the lemons.
3. Cut into 4-5 pieces almost to the end.
4. Rub the mixture into the center of each lemon.
5. Put the lemons in the jar very tightly, leaving almost no space.
6. Juice the remaining lemons.
7. Pour it into the jar.
8. Put it in a cool, dark place.
9. Before eating, wash the brine off the lemons.
