How to pickle carrots quickly and deliciously: ready in just a few hours

Carrots are a very budget-friendly vegetable that can be found in stores at any time of the year. Therefore, it is an ideal ingredient for pickling. The vegetable is very juicy, has a pleasant sweet flavor and is cooked as quickly as possible.

Ingredients:

  • carrots - 500 g (grated)
  • coriander - 4 g
  • fennel - 4 g
  • oil - 60 g
  • sugar - 16 g
  • salt - 16 g
  • apple cider vinegar - 2 tsp
  • garlic - 24 g
  • hot sauce - optional

Method of preparation:

1. Add sugar to the prepared carrots and squeeze them well with your hands so that the carrots become soft and juice starts to come out.

2. Pour coriander and fennel in a pan, heat a little but make sure that it does not burn because in this case you will feel the bitterness.

3. Add oil and warm it up. Do not bring it to a boil.

4. Turn off the heat and add the garlic squeezed through a press. This is done so that the garlic gives off its essential oils for a better flavor.

5. Pour the oil over the carrots, add salt and apple cider vinegar.

6. Mix everything well and put it in a bowl with a lid.

7. If you want the carrots to marinate as quickly as possible, leave them at room temperature. If not, put it in the refrigerator overnight.
