How to melt butter without a microwave: 5 effective ways
You've decided to bake a pie or buns and just before you start cooking, you remember that you forgot to take the butter out of the fridge. You don't have time to wait, you don't want to melt it in the microwave, and you don't know what to do either. Perhaps all housewives are familiar with this situation. But there is a way out even from this situation.
FoodOboz has prepared a selection of ways to melt butter without using the microwave.
Steam
This method is the simplest and easiest way to soften butter. First, you need to send a glass of water into the microwave. Heat the liquid for about 2 minutes, or until steam begins to form. After that, you should put the butter on a plate and send it to stand in the microwave. Leave it in the oven for about 30 minutes.
Water bath
The name of this method makes it clear how it works. So, to melt butter in a water bath, you need to boil water and pour it into a bowl. Put the butter in another container and then place it over the bowl of water. Leave it in this position for about an hour.
Glass
Yes, you read that right. To use this method, you need to hold the glass under a stream of hot water for a few minutes or place it in the microwave for a few minutes. After that, simply "cover" the butter with it. The butter will become noticeably soft within 20 minutes.
Grater
And this is perhaps the fastest way of all the previous ones and in case you have no time to wait. You don't need any superpowers: you just need to grate the butter on a coarse grater. After that, leave it to stand at room temperature for just 2-3 minutes.
Zip bag
If you choose to melt the butter using this method, you need to put the butter in a zip bag, close it tightly, and then put it in a bowl of hot water.
