How to marinate mackerel in an unusual way: a recipe for an instant appetizer
Mackerel is a very tasty, budget-friendly, and quite versatile fish that can complement both everyday and festive meals. Most often, mackerel is baked in the oven or fried. But the easiest and best option is to simply marinate the fish. One of the options is pickled mackerel with lemon.

Ingredients:
- Mackerel
Marinade:
- vegetable oil – 3 tbsp
- Dijon mustard – 1 tbsp
- lemon juice – 2 tbsp
- bay leaves – 2 pcs
Method of preparation:
1. First, clean the fish from the skin, head, and entrails. Then separate the fish fillets.
2. Cut the finished fillet into pieces, and season with salt and pepper.
3. Next, mix all the necessary ingredients for the marinade.
4. Put the fillet pieces in a jar. Pour over the marinade.
5. Leave the fish in the refrigerator for 6-8 hours.
