Mackerel is a very budget-friendly and satisfying fish. And it is perfect for pickling. You only need a few simple ingredients to make the product juicy and spicy.
The idea of cooking pickled mackerel was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Kseniia Radostina (radostina_ksenia).
1. Two mackerel with a total weight of 1 kg.
2. If you do not cut the mackerel, then marinate for 3-4 days.
3. Add salt carefully, it is better to taste the marinade and add more than to over-salt.
Ingredients:
- mackerel – 2 pieces
- vinegar – 5 tbsp.
- oil – 2 tbsp.
- sugar – 1 tbsp.
- salt – 5-7 tbsp.
- onion – 1-2 pcs.
- water at room temperature
Cooking method:
1. Clean the mackerel.
2. Cut into slices.
3. Cut the onion into rings.
4. Add all the marinade ingredients together.
5. Stir and leave in the refrigerator for 12-24 hours.
