Recipe for processed cheese in milk

It is not easy to find really high-quality processed cheese in the store. But this is not a reason to give up on this product, which is a good addition to many dishes. It is not difficult to make tender and soft processed cheese at home. And if possible, it is best to use homemade cottage cheese and milk for cooking. They have a high fat content and processed cheese will be much tastier.

The recipe for processed cheese in milk was shared by the popular chef Vasyl Mishlen on his Instagram page.

Ingredients:

  • high-fat cottage cheese – 600 g
  • high-fat milk – 150 ml
  • eggs – 1 pc
  • baking soda – 0.5 tsp
  • salt – 1 tsp
  • butter – 30 g

Method of preparation:

1. Mix cottage cheese, milk, eggs, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.

2. Beat with a blender and put in a water bath.

3. After 2 minutes, add the butter. Stir constantly with a whisk until the cheese is completely melted – about 10 minutes.

4. Pour the resulting mass into a jar or container and refrigerate for 24 hours. The longer the cheese stands, the thicker it will be.
