How to make salted caramel at home: an easy recipe

  • sugar - 200 g
  • butter - 100 g
  • cream 33% - 125 ml
  • sea salt - 1 tsp.
  1. Pour the sugar into a saucepan with a thick bottom. Put on medium heat. When the sugar starts to melt, start stirring. Stir constantly, the sugar should not burn.
  2. When the sugar turns into a syrup of a beautiful amber color, add the butter, cut into pieces. Stir until the butter is completely dissolved.
  3. When the mixture becomes homogeneous, pour in the cream and cook for 5 minutes over low heat, stirring constantly.
  4. Add half of the salt, stir and taste – if there is not enough salt, you can add more.
  5. Remove from the stove, cool and pour into a jar.
