How to make rye bread at home: a simple recipe

Bread is one of the most sought-after products in Ukraine, which is not always available for purchase but can always be made at home with a minimum of ingredients.

Culinary expert Yevhen Klopotenko has shared a recipe for delicious rye bread that you can make in just 40 minutes on his website.

Ingredients:

  • wheat flour - 250 g
  • rye flour - 100 g
  • hemp flour - 1 tbsp
  • yeast - 12 g
  • sugar - 1 tbsp
  • salt - 1 tsp

Method of preparation:

1. Mix the dry ingredients in a bowl. Add the yeast and mix.

2. In a separate bowl, mix warm water and oil. Then combine with the flour mixture and knead the dough to make it elastic and smooth.

3. Cover the finished dough with cling film or a towel and leave it in a warm place for 50 minutes to "rise".

4. Make the dough into a ball again.

5. Cover a baking sheet with parchment and cover it with a towel for 30 minutes.

6. Bake at 180°C for 40 minutes.
