How to make potato waffles: recipe for a delicious and hearty dish
Whether for breakfast, a snack, or as a delicious dessert, crispy and flavorful waffles are gaining more and more popularity. Usually, this delicacy is made exclusively with sweet fillings. As it turned out, they can even be cooked with potatoes, and it will be almost like a full meal.
In an exclusive commentary for OBOZREVATEL, Victoria Stelmakh, founder of the largest Ukrainian-language Facebook group on complementary foods and baby food expert, shared her recipe for potato waffles with mushrooms.
Ingredients:
For the base:
- eggs - 1 pc
- sour cream/yogurt/kefir/milk/cream/baked milk - 200-250 ml
- vegetable oil - 1.5 tbsp
- flour - to taste (it is best to mix different types)
- baking powder/baking soda - 1-2 pinches
For the filling:
- dough base
- onion - 1/2 pcs
- mushrooms - 3-5 pcs
- potatoes - 1-2 pcs
- grated cheese - 100 g
- dill/spinach/green onions
Method of preparation:
1. Boil the potatoes.
2. Fry the mushrooms in butter.
3. Beat the cooked potatoes with the dough base in a blender.
4. Add the remaining ingredients and beat again. Make waffles as usual.
