How to make popular rum baba dessert at home

Rum baba is a popular cupcake served in many establishments around the world. The baked bun is dipped in sweet syrup and covered with white icing. The dessert is very juicy and goes well with your favorite hot drinks. It is also possible to make such a delicious dish at home.
The idea was shared by the finalist of the MasterChef. Mykola Liulko shared the idea on his Instagram page.
Ingredients for the dough:
- flour - 360 g
- salt - 6 g
- sugar - 20 g
- milk - 130 ml
- fresh yeast - 18 g (or dry - 6)
- eggs - 225 g
- butter - 70 g
- honey - 20 g
- zest of 1 orange
- zest of 1 lemon
- vanilla - 1 tsp.
Method of preparation:
1. Knead the dough.
2. Put into molds.
3. Fill to 40%.
4. Leave to rise.
5. Bake at 180-200 degrees for 30-35 minutes.
Ingredients for the syrup:
- water - 1 liter
- sugar - 400 g
- orange - 1 pc.
- lemon - 1 pc.
- vanilla - 1 tsp.
- rum - 100 ml
Method of preparation:
1. Soak the buns in warm syrup for 10-20 minutes.
2. Put on a wire rack to drain.
Ingredients for the icing:
- apricot confit - 200 g
- rum - 50 ml
- water - 50 ml
- vanilla - 1 pod
