How to make pear jam: an interesting preparation for the winter

Pear jam is very original and unusual. Its consistency is thick and its taste resembles candied fruit with honey. This dessert will perfectly complement pastries and make family tea parties more cozy.

Food blogger Lilia (lileklilek2) shared a recipe for pear jam on her Instagram page.

Ingredients:

  • pears - 4 kg
  • sugar - 3 kg
  • citric acid

Method of preparation:

1. Wash the pears. Remove the center and cut the fruit into 4 pieces.

2. Cover with sugar and leave for 4-6 hours.

3. Then put the fruit on the fire and bring to a boil. Remove from heat and leave to cool completely. Repeat this process 4-6 times.

4. Then, when you cook the pears for the last time, add a teaspoon of citric acid and boil the jam for 10 minutes.

5. Pour the hot jam into sterile jars and close them hermetically.
